How to Publish With Us

Publishing Options

The Journal of Business Research in Emerging Economies (JBREE) is an open access journal, offering authors flexibility in how their work is published and accessed.

Once a manuscript is accepted, authors need to pay APC for publication.

Open Access Publishing

Under the open access model:

  • Authors (or their funders/institutions) pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance.
  • The final published article is freely and permanently accessible to all readers worldwide.
  • Articles are immediately available without subscription barriers.

This option is particularly suitable for authors whose funders require immediate open access compliance (e.g., Plan S–aligned funders or institutional mandates).

Open Access Compliance

Authors should ensure compliance with:

  • Institutional open access policies
  • Research funder requirements
  • National or regional mandates on research accessibility

Where required, authors will be guided in selecting the appropriate publishing route during the production process.

If subscription publishing is selected, authors confirm that:

  • No conflicting open access obligations apply
  • Embargo terms are acceptable under funding agreements
