Fees and Funding

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Authors publishing open access in the Journal of Management and Accounting Research (JMAR) may be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of the manuscript.

The APC covers:

  • Editorial handling and administration
  • Double-blind peer review management
  • Copyediting and proofreading
  • Typesetting and production
  • DOI registration
  • Online hosting and archiving
  • Open access dissemination

The current APC for JMAR will be determined and communicated by the Editorial Office upon manuscript acceptance.

Applicable taxes or transaction charges may apply where required.

APC Waivers and Discounts

JMAR may offer partial or full APC waivers for:

  • Authors from developing or low-income countries
  • Outstanding scholarly contributions
  • Invited papers
  • Special issue submissions
  • Early-career researchers and doctoral students (subject to approval)

Waiver requests should be submitted during the manuscript submission process. Approval is subject to editorial and publisher discretion.


Open Access Funding

Authors may be able to obtain APC funding support from:

  • Universities and higher education institutions
  • Research grants and funding agencies
  • Institutional publication support programs
  • National or international open access agreements

Authors are encouraged to consult their institutions or funding bodies regarding publication support opportunities.


Creative Commons Licences

Open access articles published in JMAR may be distributed under Creative Commons licences. These licences support the ethical sharing and reuse of scholarly content while ensuring appropriate author attribution.

Authors generally retain copyright of their published work.

This licence allows others to share, adapt, and reuse the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors.

CC BY-NC (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial)

This licence allows sharing and adaptation of the work for non-commercial purposes only, with appropriate attribution to the original authors.

CC BY-NC-ND (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives)

This licence permits downloading and sharing of the published article for non-commercial purposes without modification, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors.

The applicable licence will be confirmed during the publication process in accordance with journal policy and author preference, where applicable.


Copyright and Author Rights

For open access publications, authors typically retain copyright of their work while granting the publisher the right to publish, distribute, and archive the article.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted material included in the manuscript, including figures, tables, and reproduced content.
